Dress: Mango (on sale!)
I haven’t worn stripes in a while and I must say it feels good to wear some print here and there, although I am a fan of stripes I don’t like when it takes over the entire look. I believe that it was the relaxed feeling that really drew me in when I saw this dress… though it might also have been the softness of the fabric, something I always look for in clothing. I scored this mango dress on sale with the thought of wearing it on the next heat wave, which to my surprise, rolled around sooner than I thought. Well, summer is here to stay and I have zero interest in dressing in anything but easy breezy summer dresses! Don’t know why my skin is so pale, you’d think as an Israeli I’d be a bit tanner, but hey, my mom’s dutch so here’s my excuse 🙂

These weeks right before summer heat kicks in are probably my favorite weeks of the year. The nights are still chilly but you know this chill heralds the coming of long summer nights, bbq’s with friends, hanging with the kids at the pool and a hole lot of fun! This day, in particular, was partly cloudy which offered me the last chance to wear this knit skirt before I put it away for good.

The beach. My absolute favorite place to be. It’s more the ocean that I love rather than the beach. Anytime I have some extra time or I need some time off to relax I’ll always head to the ocean. I’ll just sit there in a quiet spot on the warm sand or on the rocks and watch the waves as they crash on the beach, the wind blowing on my face and the endless blue landscape. That is when I get that feeling like I am the smallest little creature in an infinite world, but at the same time I can be anything I want, I let myself dream as if I will live forever.
I love this quote I once came across “I want to be like water. I want to slip through fingers, but hold up a ship.” xx,

When in doubt, there’s one look I know I can always fall back on.
A simple white shirt & black skirt are probably my all time favorite go to look. black and white screams timeless, sophisticated, but mostly… easy. Black and white outfits are effortless. Everything matches. Whether it’s all white, all black you can always throw in a pop of color with your heels or bag! This look takes me down memory lane to middle school where on special occasions we got to show up in black & white. As simple as it is, those days felt festive and different in a good way! xx,
