THE LOOK FOR LESS: Pointed loafers

Untitled-1

1|2|3|4

I love finding pieces from the high end brands then getting the look for less. Today’s find is the Miu Miu(2) & Phillip Lim(3) Loafer Flats featuring a sharp pointed toe, I am especially taken by the “borrowed from him” style!

To get the look for less, I found these loafer flats from H&M(1) and Mitju(4), ok, I know they’re not as sharp as the the first two but they do match my pre purchasing examination –           Affordable, check. Stylish, check. Comfortable, check. Anything else?

As the days inch closer to colder weather I’ve been trying to include some more rich textures into my outfits and I love the result of this camel turtleneck with the dark red skirt. I made this skirt just last week and I LOVE it!! it was way more simple to make then it looks… this red color pairs lovely with so many different looks. I’ve decided this is my favorite skirt from now on! Thanks for stopping by! Xx,

Somedays I just want to wear a big slouchy sweater and my warn in boots…

for the little story behind this sweater 🙂 you know how when you put things away at the end of the winter then completely forget about them the next year, this is what happened with this sweater. on Friday, unintentionally I came across it at the back of a high shelf and I was way excited not only for this one but for the whole pile of sweaters I found… so, on Friday I wore this for a casual outing and it felt good!

Have a warm and cozy November! xx,

ACCESSORY WISH LIST: Mad for Hats

Untitled-1

1|2|3|4|5|6

On the chilliest of autumn days, no outfit is truly complete without a cute hat. lately I find myself wearing more and more hats, it must be my favorite accessory as you can see in my previous posts.

for now the hats on the top of my wish list are the fedora/floppy hats and the beanie.  the  fedora because… umm hello a fedora is always awesome & It’s the perfect way to channel a look that is laid-back and comfortable. The beanie aka the “it” hat of the season- for warming up my head & ears when the temps drop but obviously mainly because of the playful pom-poms on top… hehe

I’ve never found myself drawn to the non attached embellished collar trend. I’ve never even owned one, but I do like DIY projects and changing the purpose of something out of its original use. So, I decided to make my own collar from a top I never got around wearing. Here are the steps of how I achieved the look, try doing your own at home it’s really fun! enjoy and thanks for reading! xx,

Sweater: Zara (similar) Skirt: Forever 21 Hat: Forever 21 Heels: Aldo

I hate looking too over done and I try to keep it simple therefore this outfit just came right together for me, the different textures of the knit and skirt really work to dress down the look. I really can’t get enough of this hat, I just got it and I already wear it all the time, It’s really great for bad hair days- that’s probably the main reason why I love it so much…  you guys have a great week!! xx,

SEASONS FAVORITES: PLAID & BURGUNDY

plaid

Laid-Back & Casual: Scarf / Cardigan / Skirt / Boots

Preppy & Edgy: Jacket / Blouse / Skirt / Shoes

At this moment I’m having a crush over Plaid and burgundy – not necessarily in the same outfit, although they compliment each other in a nice way. I put together two ways two wear this trend, I equally love the result of them both. Thanks for stopping by! xx,
